We offer fine art prints on both archival paper and aluminum.
Here are some of the differences:
Fine Art Paper Prints:
Fine art prints are professionally printed by a Hahnemuhle certified lab. Prints are made with archival pigmented ink on Hahnemuhle 310 gsm fine art paper and feature a white border for ease during framing.
Prior to shipping each print is inspected by the artist.
Framing is available. Please call for a quote.
Natural Fine Art Prints:
Sustainable prints are available on 290 gsm Agave, Hemp, or Bamboo Fine Art Papers. The Agave is quite popular. These plants that provide the cellulose do not require a lot of maintenance, grow quickly, and are not treated with pesticides.
They also require less water and their quick growth allows more to be produced on the same plot of land than other raw materials.
Agave: The rough, yet delicately defined surface texture gives the subject a captivating sense of depth and impresses with a pleasant, soft feel. The paper is 70% agave fibre, 30% cotton.
Hemp: The lightly textured surface gives the paper a pleasant, silky feel. The paper is 60% hemp fibre, 40% cotton.
Bamboo: This paper stands out thanks to its soft, lightly textured felt structure and sensual feel. It is 90% bamboo fibers and 10% cotton.
Aluminum prints are made through a process called dye sublimation. The image is transferred from paper to metal via a heat press. During the transfer, temperatures reach ~380º Fahrenheit. At such high temperatures, dyes turn into a gas, which is then pressed into the metal. As the dyes cool down, they become a permanent part of the metal.
Aluminum is a highly durable material, and is easily cleaned. Prints ship with care instructions and a microfiber cloth, and arrive ready to be hung.
The material is wonderful for merging more traditional images with a modern, minimalist aesthetic. Images printed on aluminum tend to appear as though they are floating in front of a wall.
Prints ship within 5-7 business days of orders.
All orders require a physical address for delivery. Depending on size, some images may arrive via crate.
International orders are subject to duties and taxes, which are collected at the time of delivery.
